In high school I first fell for painting and pursued studio arts in college at Iowa State University. In 2012 I graduated with a BFA specializing in painting and ceramics. I rediscovered my love to create in 2014 while building a dining room table while completing a kitchen rehab. This revived my passion for painting and this takes me to my current body of work focusing on people and altered landscapes. Artist Statement I create, I paint, and I create some more. Figures are the driving force that inspire my paintings. As I move ahead as an artist I pull figures from my past and use references from present life to push my paintings forward.
